Hey now, Game On was great! I'm thinking you were not their target audience with that one

Going to listen to it now, but I'm cautiously optimistic. Manikin Parade is probably in my top 10 albums but I thought Kingdom of Ruin was a severe disappointment. I feel like they front-loaded the album with the darker tracks (which are great songs) but then the back half suffers from being far too mellow and "cheery." There are some darker moments, sure, but on the whole it's too little, too late. I get bored around track 10 and it just doesn't recover. I understand they are working with a concept and that thematically, it probably makes sense, but musically I just can't stay into it.

Just personal opinion of course, but hopefully they can rectify it with this one!

EDIT: Just listened to it once through and it's pretty great. Musically it's much closer to Manikin Parade than Kingdom of Ruin.
