WINTERS BANE, the classic U.S. metal band from Akron, OH, will be debuting their new lineup with a hometown show on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at Crossroads. WINTERS BANE will be performing songs from their entire catalog, including "Heart Of A Killer," "Girth," and last year's critically acclaimed comeback album, "Redivivus." Also on the bill will be H.A.T.E., the side project of SHATTER MESSIAH singer Greg Wagner, and Auburn Records recording artist WRETCH.

WINTERS BANE new lineup is composed of founding member Lou St. Paul on guitars, bassist Jeffrey "Doc" Welch (who also performs with Lou in KILL PROCEDURE), vocalist Jeff "Z" Zaigen (ex-MOB SCENE), and returning drummer Jeff Curenton (ex-SEVEN WITCHES).

The band is very pleased to have Jeff Zaigen as their new singer, as his extraordinary vocal talents will shine thorough on the band's next album, "Heart Of A Killer - II," which will be released next summer and is a continuation of the story told on their revered first album.

This change in the vocalist and drum positions was an unfortunate inevitability, as both Alexander Koch and Mark Cross were based in Germany, and reality dictated that Lou needed to find local musicians to form a fully functioning band that can write, record, and tour on a regular basis. He wishes to thank Alex and Mark for their contributions on "Redivivus," and wishes them both much success with their other bands.
