Hey man! I've got extra time these days and can help ya out! I edit all my own work which can be found here: www.nbrecording.com.
Not in the band anymore, but I helped write and produced this album. Eddie from ASP did guest vox on this song. [media]
Hey brah
Cool.
Oh I know all about phasing. I just wanted to know if anyone else thought it was dumb to get that sound by phase reversing rather than EQing.
Yeah, I just wonder if phasing it out is the best way to go about getting that sound, or if EQ would be better?
It seems to go against logic that when I phase out one of the kicks in this blended kick sample, the kick sounds way fatter and heavier. I'm...
Little too much low end overall, just a tiny bit muddy down there. Otherwise I think it's tits!
Haha, no problem. Drums: Slate Kick 16 Z1, EQ only to cut out a lot from the 200-900hz range and boost 5.3khz, 11khz, and 16khz. No compression...

The low end of the bass guitar seems a bit overpowering, but awesome otherwise!
Backups seem fine where they are
The room sound is a big part of that snare sound. It's tuned moderately low as well.
Definitely want you guys to beat RoS on this.
Seems like an excess of 11khz or maybe 16khz on the drums. Vocals could go down a tad.
Pan the guitars 100% left and right, more gain on them. Back WAY off on the master bus compression/limiting.
Sounds like you dont have a cab on there. I would double check your impulses settings.
The high end on the mix seems a little cloudy, and the guitars are a tad hard to distinguish as a result. Maybe too much in the 5khz region on the...
