I'm remixing/remastering my band's album, we're trying to get the best sound we're capable of with the old recordings (recorded before we had any idea what we were doing, so there's some digital clipping and horrible isolation problems and stuff).

I've posted some of these already, but I changed them all since. Now that I'm starting to develop a sort of "sound" for the record, I was wondering what you think I could change about the sound in general (e.g. less guitars, more kick; quieter screams; less master bus compression, etc). with Subs.mp3 Captain.mp3 Rework.mp3

I've been listening to these song for a really long time now, and on top of that I'm a very poor college student who blew all my money on Logic Pro, apTrigga, Ozone, Auto-Tune, and Amplitube. So this is all mixed with computer speakers instead of monitors, in my dorm room. Oh, and with Logic's default EQ, comp, limiter, delay, reverb, etc. Unless you want to donate me a million dollars for the new Waves pack, that's probably not going to change anytime soon.

Oh, and I made the drum samples myself. If you think they don't sound Slatey enough or whatever, that's tough crap, because I'm not changing the samples.

I chose "New Captain" at random. Sounds like it could use a lot more bass guitar.

And the education price for Waves Platinum pack is like under a grand, so it's not too bad, just got it myself lately. It's basically same as Diamond Bundle, but it's only missing some 10-15 random plugins that I literally never used (except the noise reduction plugs). But personally I would prioritize and get the monitors first.
