Yeah, they´re not Beat-detected, quantized and sound-replaced like on most metal albums.

Yet another reason to hate Borepeth, I want my drums to keep in time to the metronome in my head trapped in the thickness of my METAL skull. Who the fuck plays drums anymore anyway. :kickass:

I've heard punk songs with better drumming.

the song is all about the groove and it's off. unlistenable.

song is kinda shit anyway, as is opeth in general nowadays.

Opeth: If you were still the Opeth I was down with in 2005, you'd now be Leprous.

 I kind of have no expectations. The bar is set rock-bottom. I expect a mainstream metal-infused, guitar-laden, concept album that is too heavy to fly.

Tomas Haake is awesome, Opeth remains awesome, I expect the next SX album to be good.

the song 'anathema' on the new anathema album is really sucky. other than that, a really good album. they could have done more interesting things with the electronica stuff tho.

Super cool metal drummers (THIS IS JUST MY OPINION, OKAY?):

    Mark Zonder
    Marco Minnemann
    Pat Mastelotto
    Virgil Donati
    Jason Rullo
    Terry Bozzio

    ----

People say jazz drumming is the best and that may be true but I have a place in my heart for that special badda bing badda boom the metal guys have :kickass:

Yeah tbh I did not think the drumming on that Opeth song was bad at all.
