I apologize if it's bad form to even ask this, but is there any way for a non-VIP/Gold Badge holder to get in? I have to imagine that not everyone in the eligible category is interested in the show.

The Gentle Storm and Devin/Anneke are the main reason that I'm coming this year (although there's plenty of great bands), and I'd love to be able to see Anneke's acoustic set, whether I had to pay extra or whatever (I'd pay to listen to her read the phone book).

If there's no way in, that's cool, I absolutely understand the point of giving the VIPs/Gold Badge holders an exclusive, but I'd feel pretty stupid if I missed the show just because I didn't at least ask the question. Either way, looking forward to next September!

I think the VIP show is going to be one of the most sought after tickets in a long time. I personally think Glenn could make a killing if he were willing to sell tickets for this show. I know my wife and i would buys tickets.

The "For Sale/Wanted" thread will be posted on the forum in January. Inevitably, their will be some gold badges for sale by folks that learn they cannot go as the event draws closer. Otherwise, you could possibly "rent" the badge from someone not using it for the show (work the details out directly with them).

Otherwise, there is no entry. The Gold Badge/VIPs shows are booked as a reward for those that attend every year. I will not betray their loyalty.

Hestis, you and I are pretty much in the same boat. From what I've been told there will be a Sale/Trade thread in January that we can post these sort of requests in. Fingers crossed those of us who absolutely don't want to miss this are able to find tickets for it.

edit: Glenn beat me to it!

Thanks For the answer! I absolutely wouldn't expect you betray the loyalty of your Gold Bage/VIPs. I just wanted to make sure that something like the renting option wasn't a taboo subject. You can be sure I'll post in that thread in January looking to rent! (If I do manage to get in, there's nothing suspicious about bringing a Borat marriage sack with me, right? :saint:)

I'd suggest posting about renting of someones gold badges closer to the fest dates.......right now I'd probably be willing to rent mine out for the show, as I'm not too familiar with her catalog, but I maybe between now and then and wouldn't commit this early. The fuller the show, the more $ it brings in...so that helps everyone, and I'd prefer a big fan of hers to be able to see the show especially if I don't care so much.

Same here! Anneke and Devin are what made me buy tickets. I'll be checking the for sale posts closer to the event time as well. Seeing Anneke's acoustic set would be the highlight of the weekend for me.
