I'm not huge on this whole post metal deal but Year of No Light, Mouth of the Architect, and Light Bearer are all pretty solid. Light Bearer have these emo style clean vocals that are a bit off-putting though.

That Primitive Weapons cover in that image is a DIRECT rip-off of the Leæther Strip album cover for Underneath the Laughter.

Lemme tell you something, dude. Amenra and Latitudes stomp all over everything else on that screen. Amenra's Mass III + IIII double album (really just a combo album) is amongst the best I've ever heard.

It's the post equivalent of all the brutal/death bands with stupid long titles, and still not nearly as bad as the goregrind assholes with titles like "Haemorph Endartemectomized Punzed Eozinophille".

Im not hugely into classical music even if I find great enjoyment in some of what it has to offer. The PLanets is absolutely one of my favorite classical works. Its amazing. High recommend.

God I get burned out on that post metal stuff. I like some of the band's but so many of them have Fucking identical metal parts.

Oh yeah. Like, honestly, 85% of it is basically the same thing, but then that's true for most subgenres and since I'm almost never listening to an album without doing other shit, I'm a-ok with samey-sounding albums. If 10 bands release albums that are minor variations on a single sound, but it's a sound I like, I'll go through all 10 and love each one.

What did you think of the re-recordings? Frankly I think that if someone's never heard Burzum that's the one to give 'em.

The re-recordings are fine, but I'm not new to raw black metal and I prefer the original sound.
