Amaranthe's Massive Addiction is #1 on Billboards Heatseekers chart.
The week's top-selling albums by new or
developing acts, defined as those who have never appeared on the top 100 of the Billboard 200 or the top 10 of R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, Country Albums, Latin Albums, Christian Albums or Gospel Albums. If a title reaches any of those levels, it and the act's subsequent albums are then ineligible to appear on Heatseekers Albums. Titles are ranked by sales data as compiled by Nielsen SoundScan.

While I am certainly happy for any exposure that "our kind of music" gets out there in Mainstream Music World, The Heatseekers Chart is extremely narrow and limited in scope. Hence the sheer obscurity of all the bands/artists listed. Still, it's something...

While this is a huge accomplishment, your title is extremely deceptive. Heatseaker is not the main Billboard chart, so no, they didn't get number 1 on the Billboard chart.

Interestingly though, the band that ACTUALLY made it to number one on the chart was Slipknot. So this was a pretty big week for heavy music.

That's great. They came up with the perfect crossover album this time. People just need to hear it.

And at the risk of totally wrecking this thread, what they need now is to support Volbeat on tour in the US.

100% support this. Switch out Anthrax (Keep Crobot on there, they rock) for Amaranthe and everyone will be happy...especially me.

What do you have against Volbeat?

I think it would be more appropriate for them to team up with Jada Pinkett Smith's band (Wicked Wisdom). They're also pretending to be a Metal band. :heh:

I don't know about that, but the new Judas Priest album is totally kicking my ass.

It seems people are slowly waking up to the fact this food is killing them.
