I have made a painting project inspired by various Amorphis' songs - here are some of those paintings:

    Summer's End
    [IMG]

Inspired by the songs of Skyforger-album, but especially From the Heaven of My Heart, Sky Is Mine, Highest Star & Skyforger
    [IMG]

    Drowned Maid / Mermaid
    [IMG]

    Song of the Sage
    [IMG]

    Front cover (Thousand Lakes)

And one inspired by Black Winter Day-cover art:

Great work, especially Thousand Lakes and BWD.

    Thank you everyone! :worship:

Acrylics and watercolours. I have an interesting style to mix them in my works :D

Indeed! Never thought of that but I'll bet they look even cooler in person as to photos.

Yes, they do. Scanners have a bad habit to rape all the details and colours...

This folder is quite old work, as it's given to the band in April 2010. And the painting is inspired by my favourite song - Brother Moon.

Well, here is pretty familiar person showing a photo book and also a coffee mug by me - finally I found some use for my porcelain paints...

Last week at Tavastia. The photo didn't come out too well, so I reproduced the scene manually. No special techniques here, just good old pencil and paper. [IMG]

Cool drawing, likeness is captured well. :)
    Btw, how long it took?

Edit: Perhaps these are not directly inspired by Amorphis' songs, but similar kind of themes:

This was inspired by the cover art of The Beginning of Times:

Thanks! [IMG] Didn't watch the time but I think it was around seven hours.

Funny, I took a similar one during an island picnic a couple of summers back. We were watching a family of seagulls when I noticed an eggshell and took some pics of it. Don't have them on this laptop, but I'll look for them when I'm back home from my christmas vacation.

More eggs and familiar theme from Finnish mythology - thought that I could put this here, since it's named "Beginning of Time". This series was actually made for my exhibition in March. :)

At least this one was good practise, because I'd like to learn to paint better human beings…

Kind of random artistical incident. For my exhibition I got an idea of a shamanistic theme featuring shaman with wolf and moon. Originally I had a vision that the shaman would be blonde man, probably with some tattoos and/or jewelry. Probably due to that I ended up to have another option…

I love the Finnish metal music, my favorite Amorphis, Tom's voice is fantastic,I find the way home in their music. I love to draw and paint while listening to music. So it's been a couple of drawings.
