Hi Andy and Guys on the forum Do you know what amp has been used on Demanufacture record ??? I've searched so long on the net but I didn't find nothing about that Great production of Colin. Maybe you know a site about Colin. Maurizio
Now the day colin gets a web site up and running, in fact, the day colin switches a computer on will be a historic moment. As far as I know, that was Dino's modded Jcm 800 , which, correct me if Im wrong, got stolen
It did get stolen, I remember talking to him about that at a party at his place after the Napalm/Nile show in Los Angeles. What a shitty thing to have happen. Didn't seem like he was all that bummed though. I would be.
Maybe someone could do it for him it would be great having a colin richardson site Is he still using analog equiment for his production??? No stuff like pro tools??? Man, thanks for the answer Maurizio
What he's doing now??? With FF is over, but I didn't hear nothing about other projects of him except Brujeria. Maurizio
"who is colin richardson?" my vocalist asked tonight...damn...anyway, enough said. i explained that 3/4 of my cd collection is either him, andy sneap, frederick nordstrom, or daniel bergstrom and he was like, "damn." anyway, seriously, i can't believe he's all analog. bastard. he does things the real way and isn't a cheater like the rest of us. sincerely, Genius ps: i love beer on friday nights pps: yassou greece and usa olympians even though i'm metal and shouldn't give a shit
AFAIK he switched to Line 6 gear after that becuase he liked the response that the amps had or something... Were there porn stars at his party by any chance? :Spin:
Dino plays in a band called Asesino. Like Brujeria but way more brutal. When I talk to him last he said the Asesino was his last shot and he had to make it work... He gave me the CD and it is infact brutal, but I don't know if many people are going to like it. It's been out for a long time and nobody has ever heard it and you never find it even in the "good" record stores. Look up Asesino.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that nobody is really supposed to know that it's Dino behind that Mexican wrestling mask...but it is. Haha, I blew his cover. I think more people would know about the band and want to buy the CD if they knew it was Dino.
I don't think it's that big of a secret... The drummer is the buy from Sadistic Intent as well. Good stuff.
I heard about Asesino long ago, but I haven't got the oportunity to check it. But I didn't knew that Dino weared a mask a là Brujeria, he seems to be kind of obssessed with masks Hell, it's clever - if people think that the band sucks, it will not be imediatelly associated to the guy. If the band succeeds, there's that aura of mystery. If the project sink, you are anonymous. If it rule, you are kind of a myth. And people are always waiting for that day when the band takes the mask out... good media. Also helps on the merchandising. Humm... I think I'll go into that mask thing.... lol Dino's well known, so everybody 'knows' that's him. And his grip is very characteristical... Behind the mask or not, Dino is always making good music.
voodooamps.com offers a gutted marshall head with the dino mod/internal parts for around $1300 us dollars last time I spoke with the dude from there. it was a marshall jcm800 that was modded by bob bradshaw, and yeah it was stolen unfortunately. it is basically a cross between a dual rectifier and a soldano sl100. peace james
Colins using pro tools, he just works with engineers who have the knowledge. He's still mixing through the desk (neotek at the chapel) with outboard.
