in dublin... oh dear... how could this go, so very wrong, that i must, listen to HIM, would anyone, else put up with this?
Well actually, if Anathema is SUPPORTING it actually does mean you DON'T HAVE TO listen to HIM. Just leave the place after Anathema if you think HIM is so unbearable to listen to.
First of all, him makes good music, although Mr. Valo writes the cheesiest lyrics ever... second, this is good news. imagine what this could make for anathemas career.. Him is a MTV band... it could give them the millions, and they sure deserve it. that, plus this means that perhaps there is a chance in hell that Anathema will ever come to sweden.
HAS THE WHOLE WORLD GONE MAD!!??!!! *pulls out hair* nah. i know i could easily just leave before HIM but it sucks to pay full price just to see a support act. Less time for them to play good things. I do not like HIM. At all. Dont try to convince me their good. please. I feel quite strongly that they are not my kind of band.
That's fucked up. Beside the fact that Anathema should headline, HIM are a punishment worse than death.
Sometimes you gotta pay full price for half the show in order to have a good time. Although the newest venue in Houston has a lounge with comfy couches and pillows that are more like small beds than anything else. Just take your girlfriend to the show and make out during the bands you don't like.
HIM are the most homosexual band ever, and write songs so they can score with wannabe goth girls that think the songs lyrics can relate to their own stupid problems. Lets face it, out of pure respect Anathema have Earned the right not too play with bands that have made it because they where eyeliner.....ANGER.
Maybe Him are really good live..I don´t know I have never seen them...I´m not a fan of their music, but I don´t think it is bad...why not giving them a chance and trying to enjoy both shows? and I agree with Hobo, that´s a good chance for Anathema to make them known to a wider audience...I know it sucks to pay full ticket when you are there only for the supporting act, but who knows, maybe a Him gig is not that bad!
Ha ha!! I bought my ticket for this on friday! Its a bit much (27euro) to pay to see anathema for a half an hour. But ive never seen them play before and there is almost no chance that they will play Ireland headlineing again.
Well, they're still unsigned, so they want to get as much exposure as possible. It's kind of cheap to lure the teens though, I agree. HIM has a dodgy audience for sure, but releasing just two ridiculous albums out of five isn't that bad of an effort. I'm "glad" I saw them live when they were quite unknown back in '97. Forty minutes of music for fifty long-haired adults for approx. six euros. Dunno if the other people were homosexual, no male knickers were tossed on Ville's mic, at least. As for Anathema, we'll see if they toss themselves into oblivion anyway with their new happy go lucky approach. The lyrics (and the diary on their homepage) are already cheesy enough.
HIM is great...imo. saw them live in stockholm - cirkus with my brother and i was blown away by the show...very professional. and i don´t think they are gay at all...and if they are...so what??
its funny you think like that because Anathema themselves probably don't and would call you silly for saying such things.
Yeah, Daniel.. HIM it's my favourite band, and the consert in Sweden was soo amazing.. And it's was even more fun when Daniel was there with me.. So I will say that it will be very good for Anathema to be support to HIM.. So, to thoes who is going to see the consert, you will see that HIM isn't gay at all, and I think, after the consert you will thint that they aren't so bad that you think.. Cheers
