Bought the new Judas Priest album today. I have only heard it once, but can't say I was overly impressed on first listen. The album starts off OK with 'Judas Rising', but the second track (Deal With The Devil) is very ordinary. 'Revolution' is a bit different, and sounds like a track that could grow on you. 'Worth Fighting For' and 'Wheels Of Fire' are the only tracks for me on the album that stand out on first listen. 'Angel' is a good track but the rest are pretty naff. And what the hell is going on with the last track (Lochness)?!! I thought it was only Saxon that ended their albums with a completely naff track! I must say though, the packaging for the album is superb. I opted to pay £2 more and bought the booklet version with the DVD. It was nice to be able to read the words of the songs and not have them printed so small, be written in completely stupid writing, or have stupid colours or pictures (or both!) printed behind them so as to make them near impossible to read! The whole package is nicely put together. Hopefully the album is a 'grower'.
