I've been listenin to the new LAMBOFGOD and I must say...."It kicks ass!"

I really liked As the palaces burn but this one seems to have something more. Good to hear there's a few bands left that seem to gain something with every release!

I've heard many good things about the album... Lamb of God is definitely one of the better new bands around.

It's pretty ok. I liked the last one better though.

I like the instrumental track titled after the album, Alex Skolnick's solo sounded great.

Yep, L.O.G. are one of the few truly good and talented metal bands right now from the States. All their releases are mint and they don't fall in the lame-ass "nu-metal" or lame-ass "metal-core" catagories. They're just straight-up good old fashioned metal. The instumental kicks major ass - That alone almost makes it worth buying this album (especially with Alex's contribution - great choice by L.O.G.!) This will inevitably end up in my top 5 of the year. So far, only Exodus (Tempo...) has this one beat in the "only metal" catagory. There were some great death metal releases this year as well. It's a great time to be a metal-head!

Except not becaue LOG is a metalcore band and a mediocre one at that. I'd take himsa, god forbid or all that remains to LOG any day of the week. I listened to ashes of the wake, and yes it has it riffs, but over all it's lacking, especially in the lead guitar department, even though alex and chris played some guest lead, which was cool but not enough to suffice. Another thing that pisses me off is the production, do they not have a bass player? There is 0 low end on the record and it suffers from it. They just don't sound as heavy as they could be sounding.
