the snare verb is sick, but the guitars sound really digital man
it's very different from a compressor. they are both for dynamics control but they do very different things to the signals. transient designers allow you to "shape" the transients of drums by adding or decreasing attack and sustain
I wasn't exactly going for realism there, but noted
Thanks for the info. I've never fully understood the difference between the two
Hey guys! Check this quick mix: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1816216/P.K.Mixes/Asking_Alexandria_Teddyboy_Test.mp3
What do you think of it?
He's emulating a Sturgis mix , and for doing that this sounds perfect. I think this mix rocks hard
Thank's for the info I also agree on the ^ It's a Sturgis type mix so the guitars HAVE to be edited that way.
Please give more info on the toms :Spin:
maple toms with compression, cut out some mids, and a gate.
how did you edit the DI's?
In reaper. I cut and moved everything to the grid and didn't worry about cutting off transients. If necessary I time stretched notes so they'd fit where they were supposed to
Joey's two cents on this one
You guys are close.
Wow , yeah I had never actually heard the real one before you posted that , masque's mix was really dead on !
I had some free time and did a quick remix of it
Feel free to post any good or bad constructive comments
the cymbals sound really fake, like you used all hard hits. but the guitars are sounding good
