I'm shocked at how good this album is. I just forgot everything they did after Satanica after just one listen. Absolute masterpiece, every moment of every song had me 100% hooked with my jaw on the floor.

I don't get it. What I loved about Behemoth was their brutality and their simplicity. They made any riff sound awesome and especially in the drum department. This (and the other single) sounds to me like an absolutely uninspired track...

I've only heard the two songs released on YT, and greatly underwhelmed by them both.

Pre-ordered it and just downloaded the mp3 via amazon autorip, but fuck it I can soonest listen to it after work. Can't wait, although the two via YT released tracks were not that big stunners for me.

It definitely goes back to Grom and Pandemic Incantations, reviving that black metal atmosphere but with a good modern day production. The atmosphere is so strong it literally wrapped me up when listening.

Listened to it yesterday for the first time. Sounds great but I think I need a bit more time to get into. I like how it's more black metal like the previous ones.
Production wise it's not my absolute favourite one but I really dig how the bass is audible and present.

I wasn't fond of their development into a semi-death metal band on their past couple of records, but I find myself really liking this album. Very dark and majestic.

They sure have come a long way since I saw them live on the Christ Agony/Helheim tour nearly two decades ago. :)

It'll probably need a few spins before I truly start appreciating it. Some of the stuff is incredible but some of the songs haven't quite got a hold of me yet. I really like their last couple of albums and this one is definitely different. The parts that have got hold of me so far are incredible so I think it'll just a matter of time before I dig this :)

I think this is a grower, now listening to it the second time it's seems pretty fucking brutal.
But is it me or does it sounds sometimes if Nergal is lisping? Or is that due to extreme dessing? Also the mastering is a bit too much in my opinion but ok.

I finally got a chance to hear this puppy yesterday. I listened 3 1/2 times in a row, nonstop.

I don't know what it is about this album but I keep wanting to listen to it. I am disappointed the full album youtube video is no longer there. Is there another place where it is available for free?

Damn that second sentence - I probably wouldn't have thought about it... but you're right.

The drums sound amazing, the bass sounds really cool and I don't mind the production as a whole. But is it only me(after a long day of mixing) or are the guitars quite fizzy, i.e. they have 1-2 really ugly high mid frequencies sticking out?

From all I heared so far I was really bored. Not hearing anything from them I digged about Evangelion.
But I'm no Behemoth expert, so maybe the stuff I liked was untypical for them.

And yeah, ever since Max mentioned the lisping thing I can't unhear it

wow, never payed attention to that but it sounds like he's lisping, yeah.

overalll, I like and appreciate the atmosphere they created with this album and I think it was their focal point for that album. haven't heard all the songs yet but most of them are not very catchy so far. I'm disappointed by the overall production, though. I don't digg the balance of some instruments, the ride sounds too separated and the guitars could've been better I think.
the highlight is the bass sound. I quite like it that upfront and I've always thought that orion is a hell of a bass player. great attack!

I think that's why I love this album, not hearing anything that made me bored of Evangelion and pretty much everything they did after Satanica. This really goes back to Grom or Pandemonic Incantations, brilliant masterpieces of black metal that are so unfairly overlooked by most fans.
