About time someone mentioned this, Peter did an excellent job with this one. And the album is sooooooooooooo good. I don't think there's 1 weak song on here.

Also the intro to Blood Magik Necromance is one of the sweetest pieces of metal I've heard in some time.

nice tits, but but the idea of the clip, alas, is not original: bitches, rivers of ketchup, crosses, "we are so evil Satanists, that scared ourselves":))

I dont really care about the visual aspect of it, but its a fast an easy way to hear an entire KICKASS song.

Besides, 98% of extreme metal clips = shit, so its not like I was dissapointed or something.

Have you listened to new Legion of the Damned and something from upcoming Septicflesh?
What do you think about it?

Awesome album, and way better than the last one in my opinion. Also, Peter's production goes along perfectly.

I really like Peter's production on this one, except for the snare drum sound. It sounds thin and sort of cardboard, too flat sounding. Also sounds really distant to me. This is more noticeable on some tracks than the others. Like the beginning of the first track, 'In Blood - Devour This Sanctity'. It sound so small and flat, that it could pass for a sample of Helmuth whipping a nubile virgin's buttocks instead. But not exactly in a good way.

That said, it can sound quite cool in some parts where it isn't being clouded up by everything else. And it has its own charm during the blast sections, but I'm still not too fond of it.

leagues better than the last two cds, which only had one good song on each (stigma diabolicum and veneratio diaboli - i am sin, respectively).

this album however, it's hard not to listen to the entire thing, every time. discipline through punishment and sado messiah, are a couple of the best belphegor tracks to date.
if you liked Goatreich even a little bit, you will do yourself a huge favor by listening to Blood Magick Necromance.

great work all around and i'm glad i didn't give up on Belphegor after Bondage Goat and Walpurgis Rites. i had hoped they'd turn around and they really did.

musically and performance-wise, it's smokes the last two records. the drums sound kinda triggered, but it works on this album.

Musically, the album tops the last two records for me, and is about just below the level of Pestapocalypse VI and Goatreich-Fleshcult. I love how much more melodic this album is, though. Especially tracks like Rise To Fall And Fall To Rise.

Some aspects of the production, like the snare still make this slightly annoying to listen to, though.
