and Pain of Salvation's Road Salt Two, even though it's not out yet. My favorite band, so I just know it will be one of my favorites this year.

So far for me it's gotta be-

    Protest the Hero - Scurrilous
The Human Abstract - Digital Veil
    TesseracT - One

Though I am yet to buy Opeth and Mastodons latest and they are 2 o my fav bands so I think they will be up there

Ulver - Wars of the Roses
    Seekae - +DOME
M83 - Hurry Up, We're Dreaming (not actually quite out yet but I heard a promo and was instantly amazed; can't wait to get it)
Lykke Li - Wounded Rhymes (wasn't expecting much of this, especially after the choice of lead single but it is amazing)
    Gigan - Quasi-Hallucinogenic Sonic Landscapes
August Burns Red - Leveler (never really got into these guys before but this album has seen a lot of spins from me. Probably not revolutionary but very enjoyable)

    Cool album!

The new Hate Eternal was also good, but not one of my favorites this year.

I´m very curious about the new Machine Head. Maybe it´ll add up to the list after a bunch of spins. Maybe not.

I don't know, but so far it's one of those:

Blood Red Throne - Brutalitarian Regime
Glorior Belli - The Great Southern Darkness
    Vomitory - Opus Mortis VIII

Still waiting for the new Krux to come out.

Major disappointments were Amon Amarth, and even more surprising - the new Opeth manages to be even worse than Morbid Angel's last abomination. Only thing that's missing is a statement from Mike that he discovered his faith in god and he's the new Mustaine.

As far as personal choice goes, I would give it to HELL - Human Remains.

Biased for many reasons, but at the same time it is a sincere opinion. 60 odd plays on my iTunes would confirm that.

Due to this thread I took a good listen to Symphony X's 'Iconoclast'. Normally I'm not one for prog metal, but this is some really well written music... not only that, but to actually hear a vocalist who can sing well again, it's like bliss. Even the over-use of Slate samples doesn't ruin it.

    Thanks guys.
