in my oppinon its Nile - In their darknend shrines i love this album cant think of anything thats come out this year thats better or shows more musicianship
Up to now I 'd say Arcturus - "The Sham Mirrors" leaving the second quite far behind. But I'm expecting at least one release (Virus - "The Drama Hour") that's going to challenge it... After all we still have 2-3 months until the end of the year... Many things can happen...
to me it's THE LOVELESS - Star Rover, then Empyrium, Arcturus, In Flames, the 3rd & the Mortal releases.
sofar i can see how people could think sons of northern darkness is the best album of the year... i think its a great album... i still think the nile album shows off more muscianship though... but rerout to remain... you cant be serous... no offence but thats about as mature as something ud expect from linkin park... or who ever the current nu metal craze is... -Necro
Immortal - Sons Of Northern Darkness Nile - In Their Darkended Shrines Decapitated - "Nihility" Mörk Gryning - Maelstrom Chaos (The song "Ont Blod" gives me the boner..)
Alex Skolnick's Goodbye to Romance: Standards For A New Generation. www.alexskolnick.com - it comes handsigned by Alex himself. Amazing instrumental jazz of 70's and 80's rock/metal songs. NP: Holy Dio - A Tribute to Dio
Virulence - A conflict scenario Cephalic Carnage - Lucid Intervall Pig Destroyer - Prowler in The Yard
hydrogen: they cant all be the album of the year only 1 duh ;P and none of thoughs can top Nile's relese this year.
Blind Guardian - A Night at the Opera followed (not so closely) by: Dark Tranquillity - Damage Done and Arcturus - The Sham Mirrors IMHO...
