The ultimate mind-fuck film is Last year at Marienbad (L'année dernière à Marienbad), a French film from 1961. This is one of the most creative and memorable films I´ve ever seen. The film is at the same time visually stunning, disturbing, challenging but enjoyable at the same time.
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0054632/

Other good films worth mentioning in that context are:
Daisies (Sedmikrásky, 1966). A Czech film, which is one of the most playful and entertaining films I´ve ever seen.
The Phantom of Liberty (Le fantôme de la liberté, 1974)
The Exterminating Angel (El ángel exterminador, 1962)
    Week End (1967)
    El Topo (1970)
In the Realm of the Senses (1976). An infamous Japanese masterpiece.

Excellent movie! Alain Resnais did a great job with 'Last year at Marienbad' and 'Hiroshima, mon amour'.

    Morbides mentioned Delicatessen.
The French rule in making mindfucks.

Most recent mindfuck is Shutter Island. I love that movie.
The Wall, Arlington Road, Pi, The Game, Twelve Monkeys, Jacob's Ladder.
Quite different but still mindfucks; The Crying Game, Being John Malcovic, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, The City of Lost Children (La Cité des Enfants Perdus).

    Same...:)

These also had me reeling at the end:

    Men who stare at goats
    Jacob's Ladder
    Donnie Darko
    Dark City
The Fountain (which fucked me up for weeeeks)

    noticing a trend here, lol

Ah! I was just told about this one the other night, and it (specifically the end) sounded INTENSE. I'd love to see it.

    Tell me your thoughts?

    lots of good ones listed.
"Usual Suspects" is a great one too. One of Kevin Spaceys best pieces of work.

This thread inspired me to gather all of my younger friends together and watch it last night. They all gave it high ratings :)

Every time I watch it, I notice more clues..
