1994 represents in my opinion the pinnacle of black metal, with each of the Norwegian greats releasing their signature albums, and as well as several highly important releases from lesser known bands like Dawn and Bethlehem.

Out of this tough competition, choosing a favourite may be the same as naming the greatest black metal album of all time for many of us.

    Let's see how we go.

I voted for Bergtatt, since it's my favourite BM album ever. Mayhem's DMDS would probably come in second.

Voted In The Nightside Eclipse, but then again it's one of the few bm albums I really care about along with some Burzum albums.

Hvis Lyset Tar Oss is my favorite album, so it easily gets the vote.

Even though there's a few of my all time favourite black metal albums right there, Gorgoroth's Pentagram wins it easily.

I agree about 1994 being the peak of Norwegian black metal. This is an interesting poll, I'm eager to see how it turns out. I picked Bergtatt.

Burzum is way ahead of all the other Norwegian black metal bands in my opinion so I had to go with Hvis Lyset Tar Oss. I do love DMDS though.

I went with Transilvanian Hunger, Nightside Eclipse being right behind it.

Funny, how my two favorites are the opposite of each other in a way.

Not enough love for Pentagram in here tbh. It's a hard choice though.

    Dark Metal
    Pentagram
    Hvis Lyset tar Oss

Voted for Bergtatt because I Troldskog Faren Vild is easily one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard.
