Matheusbassist- its obvious from your posts you dont have much of a clue about metal, or you are somewhat new to the genre. Youve come to the right forum, im sure you will learn alot and expand your metal horizons.
I know somethings about metal, though I do admit, I am fairly new to the genre (been listening for about two years). I don't really pay much attention to the newest bands and stuff, I just listen to it and have fun.
But, ya, I do have more to learn. You're right.
The newest bands like Slayer & co?
Oh...leave him alone.
then you should go listen to slayer again.
that's not to say those bands weren't hugely influential or more "death metal" than slayer
I listen to plenty of Slayer & I can definitly hear where they could have some influence on death metal. What I meant to say was that they werent death metal themselves but they did influence some of the bands that would help to create the genre.
Kreator, Slayer, Overkill, Exodus, Testament, Rigor Mortis, The Haunted, Sodom, Anthrax, Destruction, Coroner,Old Metallica, Old Megadeth, Razor, Old Sepultura,Sabbat(England).
INCUBUS - Beyond the unknown
A sorely overlooked speed/death/thrash gem.
Watch Them Die
Old Metallica, Sepultura, Overkill and Annihilator
Annihilator (Underated, one of the best thrashbands ever)
Sepultura only made 1 good Thrash album.
How do you figure that...?
Traces of thrash can be found all the way up to "Arise"...
Slayer, Megadeth or Sodom
