Today's my first encounter with Judas Iscariot. Got "Distant In Solitary Night" used for 8 bucks. Really good stuff. Sucks I haven't heard them sooner.

I ended up liking more after actually listening to the whole thing. The difference in sound caught me off guard at first and there is definitely some cool stuff on the disc.

Np: Morrigan-Plague, Waste and Death. :kickass:

Casus Luciferi is back in print for those who want to buy it. Head over to the Aquarius Records website.

I've really come to appreciate Watain more lately, especially Casus Luciferi. I've still yet to hear the latest one, though I'm already prepared for a sharp decline in quality based on everything I've heard about it.

I don't know if I'd say it was a sharp decline with Sworn. Certainly was a bit of a decline, but I think it's still a solid release.

Casus Luciferi is their best release thus far though.

Sworn to the Dark is more accessible, but in the same way that Storm of the Light's Bane is compared to The Somberlain.

Ceasuri Rele track from Om is not really a song, but it's a damn masterpiece.

Everyone who is into good Black Metal should pick this up. It is fucking brilliant. One of my favorite Black Metal albums I have heard recently. The atmosphere is top notch. Very eerie. It sounds like it was recorded in some sort of creepy cellar or something.

I just downloaded Tormentor's Anno Domini and the song "Countess Bathory" in particular is one of the best things I have ever heard in my life. Attila Csihar rules.

It is but I enjoy it quite a bit. It's a nice balance between a "cold" black metal sound and a rockish vibe. Good stuff.

Yeah, I saw him last week with Mayhem, he really knows how to sing VERY low.

That must've been awesome. The only time I've seen Mayhem was with Maniac on vocals. It was in 2000 or 2001. But regardless, Maniac's screeching just about ruined the whole experience for me.
