ok so whats wrong with it? when is British metal gonna really compete with Sweden? i know theres loads of talent here and its not getting recognised, real shame. i suppose the bands have to keep touring with bigger name bands and hope someone gives them a lucky break. and it seems money is hard to come by for bands, but then again its hard to come by for everyone. ;)

I think it just goes in cycles.
Britian had it's day from about 1968 to around 1988
Amercia put out some decent, and note I said decent, bands in the 80's and 90's. Sweedish Metal took the late 90's and the early 00's (or whatever the hell you call it) by storm and it seems like they'll be going strong for a while.
Maybe if you just wait ten more years you'll start seeing some good metal bands comming out of Britian again....or maybe they'll start coming out of the orient....who knows?
