Can someone explain in more detail the significance of 3 I keep hearing about?

I've read a number of articles about this album having a connection to the number 3 "and cool things like that," as Romeo put it. I'm not quite understanding the relationship. So I think I'm missing something right in front of my face. I've read a post of this board too about one song being 2 minutes longer and another 1 would make this record exactly 66.66 long. Now I get that, but I'm trying to grasp the power of 3. Any help is really appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Tito
