well this theme is and has been fully functional for 8 yrs or something so its obv not broke. just because a few people who've been around for 12 months want it to be changed wont mean itll definitely be changed. esp with a thread demanding it happen.
I never thought that a change of theme was that much of a big deal. And im pretty sure that the initial thread about changing the theme resulted in a conclusion that it would happen. One more thing, i think it would be logical to change the theme. Bands websites, myspace etc. change theme with each album, Youd think that the bands forums would do the same. (not having dig at the UM or mods or anything just saying)
Shut up, this had been voted and the vast majority wanted it to be changed. Moreover some guy had prepared a theme, pmed Samsara and the admin guy bla bla..
Well I'm sick of this Halloween theme. I mean, like someone said, you can let it there but let the users choose the style he wants (forums have that option). But please make something new for my bored eyes.
If I was God and actually existed, as a prize for being responsible for the whole of creation, the least I would ask is for my name to be written in uppercase.
uh oh, ive been told apparently. i never said i was dead set against a change in theme. imo the theme is fine. apart from that all i did was just point out the perfectly relevant and correct point that a thread entitled 'change the god damn theme already!' isn't going to get you very far if the addressee values any kind of respect or good manners. it is hardly relevant that someone had a theme ready (yeh i saw it, looked nice), fact is youve just acted like a precocious little fuck making a demand when you could simply have pm'd metalages a few times and politely asked for any updates on the changing of the theme for the opeth forum.
If you had followed what's going on you wouldn't randomly speak stupid words like that.. All that you have suggested have been done to no avail, and you don't stay calm/gentle/nice all the time. If no action is taken then bla bla bla..
I thought it would be too trivial to explain but maybe I couldnt put into words well. So let me explain, we asked nicely to change the forum theme once and all the actions you suggested were taken, again nicely. But no response came, so I think, if getting angry over something can be justified, it is when you don't get what you deserve even though you ask for it nicely. Hope it's clear.
so demanding your way is going to get it done? think again buddy. the guy youre trying to get to make this happen runs an enormous website and probably has a million other things to do outside of that. give it some time, quit being a whining bitch.
He is running this site for the users, dont get that wrong. It was majority's wish and this should be done, plain as that. He was given time, we are right on this occasion...
