Don't ban Joonas, this place would be too quiet without him.
I can't get a ban.
You won't live long without this forum Joonas, accept the fact (phrase joke) it's in your veins, the forum has become a part of you. It drives you like your insticts with a naked hooker in the park on a sweet, lauwarm summer night (Joonas 2, yeah:Smokedev If you will get a ban, you will make another acc.
But I want a ban.
Just step away for a bit if you need a break man
Besides, we're getting ready to launch the new forum site, you don't want to miss out on that?! I'll cry.
I'm sure you will.
Anyway, new forum? As in change server or update or change the whole thing? If its the last one, what's wrong with this one?
This one is many years outdated, feature wise, software wise, etc.
New server, new (and much better) software, lots of cool stuff.
You can see a sneak peek of what it looks like and some of its features here: http://www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/...on/985627-new-forum-feedback-sneak-peeks.html
Looks good. It's a well known forum interface. Many forums use it
So why is there no video preview? I thought all I have to do is, copy the link, paste it here and remove the s after http
You used a/an wrong/unclean Link - This one is the correct one
mmh, ok. thx mate!
Good cover, but:
1. Do something with your noise gate or lower your distortion
2. I've noticed that you have some rythm problems during the verse and chorus leads... not that bad but it's still hearable
3. I know it's a difficult song, but especially at the end it seems that your fingers getting weaker and weaker. And that causes a lot of mistakes at the end. Sure, it's better than most of the covers I've seen but it could be better.
And wtf is your name? All I can read is DjND0D DND3/4D0D>>NNND1 !
Man it makes me so sad to know how good Alexi once was and on which level the covers had to be to compete with the original.
But now.......... You can say what you want, but a complex rhythm is technically wise never that hard like an insane lead. Maybe the timing is heavier but not the technique itself. And songs like that show that.
Uhm, not at all. The bridge in BBT is definitely a really hard one. Or the rythm part right before the key solo in Warmans Suck My Attidude. The rythm parts in SKO are also really difficult. Or the rythm parts in PMS...
And an insane lead is not always technically hard to play. A few of my favorite solos are slower ones and easier to play.
Wait, someone actually passed up on this opportunity?
About the rthym and shredding thing; even Bodom's newer stuff with their "technical" riffs aren't that complicated. If they released an album tomorrow where they just went back to power chord progressions and retarded fast shredding (and maybe if Alexi's voice didn't sound haggard as fuck now) I'd probably buy it.
making serious money and fame on atmospherical(trees and shit) leads on top of a black metal influenced rythm, only then after getting fame to "progress" to an american style of metal to be harder and deeper then anything else...also dont forget..more technical.. this in their new heavier Drop C tuning.
BUT wait there is more!
After several albums of declining sales and lesser atmosphere on live shows, unlesss they play the "old stuff", they do a BACK TO ROOTS ALBUM which hits charts high and is again loved by their original fanbase, although not fully back to roots it still gave fans a glimpse of the glory that once was..
After this they do "Alexi's personal problem with silence album", titled after a "song" that embodies all of those problems, an album filled with technique and here and there some nice leads to shine on glory days,...all this IN THE NEW AND EVEN HEAVIER DROP B TUNING!
(and I loved them in D standard / D# )
Wait. Are you talking about IWC? Maybe I'm wrong and there's a limited-special-extended-15-years-back-edition with an Alexi without an ugly hat I don't know about, but the IWC album I have, doesn't have nice back to the roots leads and isn't technical.
Only thing on IWC that is even remotely close to their older material is Suicide Bomber.
I liked 4:23 of the cover
