So... right now my guitar collection consists of: Ltd EC-1000: My main rock/metal guitar, could be a rock guitar but the emg's tilt it towards metal Schecter Hellraiser 6 String: Breakdownzcore guitar Schecter Hellraiser 7 String: Djentbreakdownzcore guitar Right now i'd like to get something more vibey, especially since i've started to jam with a bunch of musicians lately and trying to expand my musical vocabulary. Right now i'm thinking of this: http://www.thomann.de/pl/parker_pm20pro_pw.htm But i've always had a weakness for telecasters, so i'm thinking of picking this up, but changing the bridge pick-up to a humbucker (which one?) http://www.thomann.de/pl/fender_standard_telecaster_maple_neck_2009.htm I know some might suggest gibson or music man, but i'm trying to stay low budget on this one. Anyone have any experience with the mentioned parker or tele ?
The Peavey Wolfgang is my current favourite rock guitar. Though when I worked in a guitar store out of the thousands of guitars there my go to always a Tremonti SE, Lasse has it spot on there.
If you want something that combines the looks and feel of a Tele with the meaty sound of a Les Paul, check out the Fender Custom Tele's: http://www.thomann.de/pl/fender_custom_telecaster_fmt_hh_am.htm
I have Tele with a Duncan HotRails in the bridge...and I love the way it sounds! But then again, I don't typically do "metal" by the modern terms, except on a few occasions. It works perfectly (for me) for rock stuff.
Nah man, i've got enough "metal" guitars... anywho, i had a chance to play the tremonti se a few years ago and it was ok, but didn't capture me. But this does empower my tele love:
I like white guitars. But seriously. Tele or Jazzmaster. Both have serious attitude You've got enough Humbuckers.
My wife got a Ibanez Telecaster Custom with a lil 59 on the bridge and it rocks. So, a Tele with a mini humbucker is win-win. Otherwise, the Schecter Blackjack is awesome, as Ermin suggested.
