The fact that Divinefire is so low on that list is a travesty.

However, Theocracy is deservedly high, of course.

Wow, I *so* don't have most of these. Aside from the Stryper ones (which everyone has, right?), I only own 4 from this list; I guess that I have alot of work to do. I have:

    9th TIE Theocracy--Theocracy
    44th Rob Rock--Holy Hell
    56th TIE Saviour Machine--II
    67th TIE Saviour Machine--Legend I

And I totally love all four of these albums.

Although I do own one CD each from Mortification, Guardian, Narnia, Whitecross, and Seventh Angel, just not the one listed.

    Good work Theocracy!

I have these. (+Theocracy & Stryper of course!!)

If you really like Power Metal, check out Divinefire, they are excellent. Also Rob Rock & Impelliteri.

If you are into more DM/BM stuff, check out the others. Extol is awesome, so is Crimson Moonlight for BM. Virgin Black is really cool Operatic metal. Paramecium is kinda doomy. Saviour Machine is kind of like a play/soundtrack/opera.

Missing from this list, but totally awesome: Holy Blood - Waves Are Dancing. Folkish metal.

You, sir, are a Christian metal warrior! What a collection. I will check out those power and operatic metal bands you listed. Those are my favorite types.

The growly stuff doesn't work for me. Vocals are my favorite "instrument", hence the love of power. I do have a few (Mortification, Frank's Enemy), but I rarely listen to them. Speaking of Mortification, the first Christian band I ever liked was Lightforce, way back in 1989 or something. Now THAT ruled!

By Operatic, i mean they're a band that fuses strings, heavy guitar, piano, an opera singing style, and some black metal (seldom) influences. "Sombre Romantic" is a really powerful album.

Sounds pretty cool. I love when there's anything orchestral in the metal mix (especially strings). Operatic vocals can be awesome (they can get old sometimes, too).

BTW, for any Saviour Machine fans, there are still some sets of the 500 copy run of Rarities and Revelations (4 CD set). They just shipped this week (I got #217), but they told me that they do still have some left:

Yes, I love Holy Blood, I wonder where they are on that list. I need both their CDs.

    7. Extol--Undeceived (417) (japanese import)
    TIE Theocracy--Theocracy (396)
    44. Rob Rock--Holy Hell (150)
    45. Sacred Warrior--Master’s Command (149) (I probably shouldn't list this, because all I did was get it for free from the band's site)
    58. Lengsel--Solace (121)
    69. Saviour Machine--Saviour Machine (103)
    71. Saviour Machine--Legend II (100)
    75. Horde--Hellig Usvart (98 ) (this is one of my favorite CDs of all time, I would put it much higher than 75)
    81. Virgin Black--Sombre Romantic (91)

Sadly, that's all I've got from that list (I'm too young to own stryper by default :)), but I see alot of stuff on there that I'm interested in.

Wow, now that list brings back some memories!!

Sounds like quite a few people here don't care for death metal, but I must say that I was glad to see Sympathy, Sacrament and Crimson Moonlight on the list!

Saviour Machine and Veni Domine are definetally my favourite bands from the above list. I love them. I did an interview with Tobjorn from Veni Domine for a greek webzine, i can give it in english to anyone who might be interested, he makes some interesting points about religion/music/positive or negative lyrics etc.
Bride, Believer, Sacred Warrior and Recon are awesome bands too. Fans of old Queensryche will want to check the last 2.
Btw anyone have a clue when "Legend III:II" is gonna be released?

They are Christian in a manner of speaking...they aren't really part of the Christian scene and industry like most of the bands on the list. But yeah they do have a Christian point of view, albeit a rather unorthodox and radical one.

Wow, I used to listen to a bunch of the bands on the list alot, now Virgin Black and very occasionally Extol is all.

Ah, yeah - I have "Elegant...and dying" by them. Mainly cause I heard "And the Kiss of God's Mouth - Part 2" and thought it had a real painful and different type of melody.

It gives me warm fuzzies to see Deliverance's WOOW album in the #3 spot. And I thought I was one of the few who loved that one. As for Stryper, I personally think Soldiers Under Command is better than THWTD.

Congrats to Theocracy for making the biggest impression on the Christian Metal and Power Metal scene. I wish the greatest success for your second offering, and hopefully many more!

I think even Eric Clayton himselft doesn't know it. And I think the most accurate answer you'll get will be "It will be released when it's done".
It's not even sure that it will be released in 2006.

As for Trouble - i think many see them as a "secular band".

As for Holy Blood - yes, they are great and I think they received some votes but at the CMR the majority obviously prefers the classic metal style.
