BBM : worst song on the album so far
BBM is sick but the chorus is not dark enough IMO. It has atmosphere though...
Loving this album i hope we are gonna be able to listen to it today
In other words, its happy not dark. I have a feeling for shouting instead of headbanging .
People are going to be split on BBM because of that rock part. It works for me.
it has good parts in it but some part are out of place, like tho post chorus, and the keyboard solo at the end. chorus itself is roadkill-ish (worst song of cob),the atmosphere is blooddrunky and aydy ish. only good parts are intro, verse, guitar solos.
this song lacks of feeling.
ok so far :
Halo of blood 8.5/10
Bodom blue moon 5.5/10
From best to worst so far I'm thinking HoB --> TDAN --> Transference --> BBM
Isn't metal music for you nothing more than headbangin? Anything like emotions or feeling?
Its much more bro
Well, were clearly on a different page, because I wouldn't giving Transference a 9.5
The chorus from Roadkill is arguably one of my favorite parts from Blooddrunk, so I took to it nicely. The keyboard solo was a bit abrupt, but it sounded sick.
I don't get the atmosphere posts anymore so I stopped commenting on them. There is no objective opinion in that department, as Henkka has stated.
This isn't supposed to sound as much as possible dark, brutal, old school bodom etc. It must be sound fucking good and give you goosebumps, not to be dark as big ass trolls anus. If you meant that, I agree with you :Spin:
(That was about everyone complaining about atmosphere and darkness and not to be "happy". And atmosphere and darkness alone doesn't make song good)
Bodom blue moon, fucking awesome!
The whole album is gonna be alright
Thanks. Now I'm even more confused.
That's not really simple.
I'm really into visions and shit like that, and most of time i agree with Joonas about his stuff even if sometimes he goes over the top with it. Maybe because i imagine similar stuff like that but i cant explain it how it works inside my head.
Oh and BBM is like a white clear frozen landscape. There will be songs like HoB where the dark is really dark and the wind is blowing, right into your bones and screams are ear-shattering by the dying souls while they perish by the Reaper's scythe.
Come on! That keyboard melody near 1:40 of TDAN is awesome!
The links you are posting are samples or full songs? Cause I don't want any more samples...
It's blasphemy to compare Days to Hatebreeder. It's a filler song for me. I don't understand why it should be catchy. I never liked this thrash stuff. COB is not supposed to be this invalid and simple. It doesn't feel like the cover art at all, there's just a couple bits where they added snow rain and even one orchestral hit. It's too restless as opposed to being epic and catchy. I'll be skipping this one.
Bodom Blue Moon is cool. Badass riff, some atmosphere, electricity and a cool chorus melody. Baseball bats under a bridge with moonshine.
TDAN and BBM are full songs, the iTunes Things are samples.
No it's not. The first fucking riff in the song is just a slowed down version of the title track, there's a blackish riff thrown in there, and a keyboard part that uses a similar sound to Downfall.
I'm glad you're so vocal about your distaste for thrash(as some other Joonas cult members are) but it's presence in extreme metal is undeniable, and it's going to show up. Alexi was wearing a Megadeth shirt in that one Facebook video, so what can you expect?
After listening more to TDAN, it's not bad at all. Pretty okay song.
If you want to hear samples of the new songs, here is link with longer and better samples!
