Transference got all old bodom elements in it. it got the FTR vibe all along the song. the interlude is FTR ish as hell aswell as solos. what do u want more?
Scream for Silence, Waste of Skin and All Twisted are my favourites. Hopefully rest of the songs comes out soon.
Well it's got the vibe sure, but I don't think it sounds like anything from that album personally. It's a good song, I'm not knocking it. Furthermore, I'm not looking for FTR with this album. A lot of you are way to wrapped up in the idea that this will give you the same feeling as those albums. It's still a NEW Bodom album, and should be treated as such. There's going to be thrash metal and groove metal and weird vocals. It's not going to be all trees and baseball bats and other bullshit-ery. This album is different though, because those abstract "old school" elements are more present than they have been.
One Bottle sounds like Mask of Sanity meets trash. ETA: in WOS you can hear Alexi singing "Reaper on my trail". Interesting
I must say Bodom Blue Moon sounds better as a full song from that link than a sample. Quite enjoyed the whole thing.
I absolutely agree with out. When I listened to the sample, the song didn't sound so good. But whole song is pretty damn good.
Loving the 2 new songs. Better than Transference and HOB imo. These 2 new ones actually take you on a journey and don;t repeat the same verse/chorus over again. I'd say they sound closest to HCDR. I think it will take a few listens to properly take in everything that they are doing. I'll admit the BBM chorus threw me off a little at first but by the end of it I as really digging it.
First listens = have no idea what I just heard haha. COB songs take like ten listens a song to comprehend correctly. All I know is BBM is most likely going to be a blast to play, I can say that much
I still can understand, what the did to Alexi and what happened to his vocals. This shit tottaly sounds like original and killer CoB. I mean i know they got a free hand in everything but... how can something be awesome like this?
Bodom Blue Moon could have been so much better, alot of potential on that song :/. Aside from all the new stuff thats been floating around they are still yet to post part 3 of the track by track. Their strategy seemed pretty good up until now.
alexi is answering questions right now http://www.metalsucks.net/2013/05/28/right-now-livechat-with-children-of-bodoms-alexi-laiho/
Bodom Blue Moon is fucking great. Dunno what y'all are on about. The entire goddamn song is orgasmic. It's creative as fuck and it has some really great riffs and melodies. Plus, the solo is one of Laiho's best (of newer Bodom anyways).
The days are numbered is the best so far, very dynamic and very catchy. Also, solo is sinergy-ish. killer!
http://www.nicozon.net/watch/nm20983374 Song is pretty good after a second listen... didn't catch me the first time like Transference and Halo of Blood did but I really do enjoy the keyboard melodies.
BBM sounds pretty good to say the least, not sure what you guys mean by "dark atmosphere" - as if Bed of Razors or Beach Terror (or lots of others) has no "happy" chorus. It's the english football chant type of chorus, COB is familiar with it for sure.
After listening to TDAN on repeat a few more times and comparing it to Warheart and a few other HB songs it has a lot of the same riff style. The intro is quite similar to Warheart. It really is a thrashy HB song... minus the big melodies of that album.
