This'll me my 7th or 8th time seeing Coheed. Haven't seen BTBAM in 3 or 4 years but haven't enjoyed anything they've put out in that time, either. Russian Circles is a great band who I ALWAYS manage to miss -- even when I go to their shows... The new CoCa album is fantastic. Much better than Year of the Black Rainbow. Well, for what its worth, the Jonas Brothers just played there too. Married To Jonas is a guilty pleasure of mine, so suck it!!!! Couldn't give two craps about Coheed or BTBAM (Though I don't think I ever heard them), but Russian Circles are cool live. Not sure its something I would listen to on record, but thats just me. Not my thing, but I am sure this tour will do will.
I may or may not go to this. I love all bands on the bill, but Coheed and BTBAM have two of the most annoying fanbases I've seen, so I'm on the fence here...
I enjoyed BTBAM's albums Colours and their newest, Parallax II, but I heard they actually put on a really good show. As for Coheed they're awesome live, and their new album rocks. And Russian Circles will be the highlight methinks.
Thank you for your very insightful comment and contribution to this thread, and also, your wonderful and possibly ironic signature picture of a cat with an upside down cross that is in no way astoundingly annoying.
As much as I find excessively strong unsolicited opinions on music obnoxious, dude likes Spazz so he's probably solid.
Hahahahaha, I too noticed the SPAZZ. Not as cool as DOOM or LOS CRUDOS, but still some respect has to be given.
Another pair of thumbs up for the new Coheed and Cambria. I thought Black Rainbow was their worst since the first one. Great come back to form! Steve np: SYL - City
I've seen BTBAM twice. Once when they were stellar, and another when they were downright awful.... both were during the Colors era.
I downloaded their new album but I haven't had the chance to fully listen to it. But when it comes down to it: Silent Circus > Self titled > colors > Parallax 1 > The Great Misdirect > Alaska
That's a big mistake for two reasons: 1. Russian Circles headlines tours all the time, so you can see them in a few months playing a longer set for a third of the price. 2. Coheed is a killer band, both in the studio and live. I've been following them for 10 years now and couldn't be more pleased with their recent output.
I just saw Russian Circles headline about a month ago maybe a little more ! As for Coheed I got a few albums and saw them twice and just couldn't get into them .
