you know it brotha. gotta keep things clear and logical.
If Nicholas Barker would have played on Abrahadabra it would be 10x better atleast.
Nick Barker is an incredible drummer. I wonder why he can't stay in any one band for very long. Maybe he's a fucking douche.
That it is weird. Marco Pitruzzella is the same way.
Yes. His drumming on PEM is just incredible.
It's been a while since I last listened to Old Man's Child's debut album Born of the Flickering. Such a fantastic album, very well-written and easily Galder's finest work. The production is just perfect! I've always thought this album was criminally underrated and overlooked.
I like this thread...
Tom Englund over emotes in his singing & it makes a lot of his vocals sound comical.
George Kollias isnt as good as his reputation would have you believe
Necrophagist's riffs are all quite samey.
Despite being in a band with large grindcore influences, grindcore all sounds the same to me...
Jonas Renske is as shit a bass player as the bassist from Bullet for my Valentine (who if you dont know is really really shit)
If it was a choice between having Nick Barker drumming on it or Vortex doing clean vocals on it, Id pick Vortex every time.
how in the world does Pig Destroyer sound the same as Nasum or Brutal Truth? they are so difference as far as grind goes. maybe you just have no clue about grind.
Point taken. I should perhaps have said 'Grindcore songs on any given grindcore album often sound the same to me'
I could see that yeah.
I mean, dont get me wrong. I like Mumakil a lot. But if I put on a Mumakil album, it all blends together into one thing. I couldnt talk to you about it in terms of song titles & riffs. Same for most grind.
Yeah, dancing around stage in a leotard and puffing away at a flute is very manly.
But I agree, Tull is the epitome of badassery.
Dragonlord - Rapture is some pretty not-terrible black metal. Some parts are pretty tacky/cheesy/not-good, but there are some seriously awesome moments on there.
Holy shit, that IS controversial. Wow. I don't know what to say to that except for... Dragonlord? Really?
I think this is pretty decent.
Not great, but the album came on earlier and I realized my initial appraisal (what is this goofy shit) might have been too harsh.
I guess I'm not a fan of the cheesy BM.
