I have a hard time listening to most things you talk about so maybe it's just a total difference in opinion.
Fisher's guttural screams are fucking nasty forever.

CC has gotten progressively more boring since The Wretched Spawn, but I think has more to do with a lack of progression in their song writing rather than vocals. There are only 3 CC albums that I absolutely love: Bloodthirst, Gallery Of Suicide, and Tomb Of The Mutilated. Even Barns couldn't ruin TOTM.

    Gallery of Suicide is terrible.

Those are tracks one, two, and suck, and I never really cared for Jawbreaker anyways.

Maybe not so much controversial in general as it is amongst the trve elite metal community, I like Swallow the Sun.

Nothing wrong with Swallow the Sun. They're a decent doom metal band.

Their first album was solid doomy death metal, but god they just descended into absurd levels of shittiness since then.

Also, I'd pretty much always listen to Novembers Doom over StS in terms of untrue death/doom.

I agree with Mort, The Morning Never Came is really the only thing by them worth mentioning. I cant think of a single thing Ive liked from Novembers Doom.

Vocals kill it. I bought the song/demo EP plague of butterflies because of some hype and enjoyed it musically. Novembers Doom is one of my favorite metal bands.

Manilla Road haven't really had "good" production on any of their recent albums, but it's never "horrendous" either.

I do not care much about live music luckily, but Agalloch really suck live. I was on youtube.com and did not expect them to actually be much of a live band, but they just really sucked live. Not sure if this is a controversial opinion.
