I don't know about you all but I love Tim Burton's movies here's the link to a trailer of the latest: corpse bride
I already saw the trailer at the cinema. I'm big fan of Tim's work, with the exception of "Planet Of The Apes" and "The Chocolate Factory", since I'm against remakes no matter who make them (and POTA was just baaaaaaaaaad). Also I never got interested in "Big Fish" but I may see it soon on cable. As for CB, I hope nothing but the sheer quality of "Nightmare Before Christmas", pure gothic horror which is what Burton came off best with. Thanks for the link Kit
well I never go to the movies, too many damn cell phones ringing and screaming kids....I wait for dvd's. I haven't seen Choc. Factory and I won't... to difficult to see Jonny Depp go from hot hot hottie hot Pirate to geeky and freaky willy wonka. about the only thing I wish Burton would do is get a differant person every once in a while to do the musical scores. Elfman is so predictable.
Weird, even in this hellhole people turn off the cell phone at the cinema. And usually there are never kids when I go to the cinema (part the type of movies, part the showing time). Anyway, Elfman gothic scores are the best in town. I believe the movies and the scores compenetrate perfectly. I firmly feel that Burton and Elfman know what they want/need almost telepathically, same as Burton/Depp.
Actually other than the dumbass ending I thought POTA was a really good movie. But I liked Sleepy Hollow the most.
Yeah Elfman is a good motion picture composer along with John Williams I cant believe this was the dude from Oingo Boingo!
Neither do I. First time I heard an Elfman score was like: cool composer indeed. And then someone came and told me: that was the guy in Oingo Boingo and I'm still up to this day @ Kitty: you owe me for that one, wait for reckoning day
okay, I'm sowwy....please forgive me. As you can see by the pic below it is really me that's the perv Hope this makes up for it................... 1996 on my way to the Leatherfest in S.F.
Well, I went to see The Chocolate Factory with the kids yesterday and I thought it was pretty good....Story is a bit thin, hey it's a kids movie, but the overall effects , decors and stuff are amazing !! (and you gotta love the "metal" piece in it I really dig Burton's movie style, think Sleepy Hollow is my favorit.... @Kitty, you look great in leather !!!
i thought sleepy hollow was a great modern day Hammer movie and i love most of Burtons work. POTA could have, and should have been better....but it was still a good film. Its nice to see Christopher Lee working again ,as he has a voice in The corpse Bride as well as his part in the chocolate factory which really was good .....but Johnny Depp played it a little to strange .
I was joking Kit, sorry if I disturbed you . As for the pic, what can I say? You're my 666 Beast *whistling Aska 'Leather'*
