We were not really the Old School if we don't pimp some ancient band from time to time, isn't it? :saint:

The almighty Deep Purple may be try to amend for the last studio album (I keep praying for another "Purpendicular" or "Bananas") with a new record set for April 2013

I rather enjoyed Rapture of the Deep. Can't believe it's that one's already 7 years old.

The last DP album I really listened to was Perfect Strangers. The 2-3 albums after that failed to grab me.

Bananas was great... Rapture just okay IMO. Always willing to give DP a chance... never know when they're gonna hit one out of the ballpark!

I'm with Wyvern...Purpendicular and Bananas always get the repeated spins. When DP gets the right attitude, it just shines through on the songs. When they don't...it's still good, but just doesn't ooze the classic DP style.

I listened to Rapture Of The Deep earlier today. Great album, but still not a grabber...

Looking forward to new material, and...as always...a chance to see another live show!

    Rock on!
