Lead guitar - Trey Azagthoth (Morbid Angel) Lead guitar - John 5 (Rob Zombie) Drums - Bran Dailor (Mastodon) Bass - Ryan Martinie (Mudvayne) Vocals - Randy Blythe (Lamb of God) Caged Dancer - Dita Von Teese They would be a tight progressive metal band with boobs in a martini glass
Jeff Buckley was one of the finest vocalists who ever lived. I added him to my supergroup along with Akerfeldt on backup vocals. That would be godly.
Here's mine Vocals - Peter Gabriel Bass - Tony Levin Acoustic Guitar / Vox -Nick Drake Electric Guitars - David Gilmour Drums - Orri Páll Dýrason (sigur ros)
^Thats a hot list. In terms of a metal band...how about... Hasjarl on Electric Guitar Mike on Acoustic Guitar and clean backing vocals Garm on clean vocals Mikko Aspa on harsh vocals Mendez on Bass Tomas Haake on Drums Per on Keyboard
Drums: Mike Portnoy Guitar: Steeve Hurdle Guitar/backing vox: Mike Akerfeldt vocals: Scott Walker Bass: Les Claypool Sax: John Zorn
Mikael Akerfeldt - Vocals, Guitars Inferno - Drums Scott Hull - Guitars Nergal - Bass Grindcore/Prog Rock
^haha, quite the super group ey, my mind started flooding with musicians after I wrote it and I came up with a few more, but I'm happy with that one. Although the amount of talent in that room would surely cause an explosion.
Yeah! Throw in a couple of Chuck Schuldiners and Anders Nyströms and you'll have fucking World War 3!!
I pretty much was just filling spots based on talent for each role, then looked at it and thought aww, damn, I can't see that working out too well in this hypothetical band.
If I took Mike out of the mix then maybe Neige on acoustics and backing vocals might work better. Or maybe even Ihsahn, his clean vocals backing Garms sounds nice.
another one: Drums: Neil Peart [Rush] Keyboards: Keith Emmerson [ELP] Bass: Flea [RHCP] Rhythm Guitar: James Hetfield [Metallica] Lead Guitar: John Petrucci [Dream Theater] Vocals: Robert Plant [Led Zeppelin] this would be fucking awesome
Dude...... Neige is so awesome! Souvenirs is one of my favorite albums and I can't go a day without Tir Nan Og.
