I think we can all agree that this would rock. We'd play some kind of progressive fusion jazz metal with influences from both 60s British guitar pop and classical music.

Mine's would be something like this:

Vocals - Mikael Åkerfeldt (I know he's tallent for some high screams á la power metal)
Guitars - Yngwie Malmsteen (the shred section)
Guitars - Rusty Cooley (the shreddier section and Nintendo sounds)
Keys - Klaus Schulze (ambient sounds)
Drums - George Kollias (acts as a metronome)
Jesus Christ - the choir of heaven (for massive and epic parts)

KICKASS. I can't believe no one's mentioned Hoglan or Jaco. But dude, you'd let Nödveidt play guitar and not sing? In a BLACK METAL band?

Dude, I like Jon's screams. But hey, those guys are soooo much better (I think). Nevertheless, Jon was a fucking god(satan?)like songwriter!

Forged in blood by tragedy... Dark were the THORNS OF CRIMSON DEATH!

So, this thread's been around for a little more than a day. I wonder how long it'll be before I come back and don't keep saying "holy shit" out loud at these names.

Hellhammer was also the drummer in Arcturus...

I'm not to partial to CoB's keys but that would still be awesome.

I think Asperia Hiems Symfonia and The Sham Mirrors are their best. And yes, I prefered Garm.

Their whole discography is yummy. And both of the vocalists are great. I just prefer Garm.:)
