How are we not talking about this album? Or am I blind? Absolutely loving this one.
Heard it last night, absolutely awesome!
I have not heard it but I heard from a few sources that it is amazing. It is great to see Bergstrand back with Darkane.
Used to be a huge fan of these guys...had no idea they had a new one.
This band has more talent than most of us can dream of. I'm really glad they've stepped back from totally self producing. This sounds amazing.
Behind the scenes stuff:
Wildoer tracking his own drums via remote desktop blows my mind. So, so cool.
I havent had a chance to listen to it yet but I'm facebook friends with Christopher and Peter and have been seeing the links quite a bit this past week. I've got all the other albums so i don't see why i wouldn't get this one, even without listening beforehand.
Funniest guys in metal after Devin Townsend imo.
1. Music Man Stingray into Engl Savage sounds pretty rad!
2. Strange to see them using the Fireball for guitars...but it sounds alright.
3. Never got into them, but this sounds pretty good, gonna give it a listen.

One of the fucking best bands.. criminally underrated... as well as some of the greatest guys. Hope this finally gets them "accepted" or "successful"
Holy shit, definitely checking this out when I get home.
I can't second all of this enough. The amount of talent combined with friendliness and humbleness is insane. They're just absolutely fantastic guys.
This album is so freaking good it hurts. Stellar performances and the production does their musicianship justice. I have loved every Darkane album but the last one definitely causes mega ear fatigue. I'm on my 3rd spin this morning while working.
Listened to this on a long drive home last night. Really enjoyed the album. Gotta check out the studio videos!
I'm assuming that's what's happening at 4:00 in the first vid (the making of), but how do cut different takes with all the cymbals ringing between takes?
You just play into the part so the cymbals ring into the punch the same. Pretty standard for tracking anything - play into/out of the part you're punching.
Holy fucking fuck! Engl Savage 120 for bass!? I might have to try that shit...
Holy shit this is killer! What crushing drums!!!
Thanks for the links, I'm definitely checking them now ! Great songs. It's not everyday that I dig a "metal" band anymore
