    For Death / doom, nothing has ever surpassed diSEMBOWELMENT - Transcendence into the peripheral, imo of course. (Also recommend, last few are funeral doom/ death metal):

    Rigor Sardonicous - Principia Sardonica
    Winter - Into Darkness, Eternal Frost
    Thergothon - Stream from the heavens

    Cannot recommend void of silence enough, industrial blackened doom/death that featured Alan from Primordial and now features one of the guys from The Axis of Perdition.

    not Doom/Death anymore, but Orphaned Land and Virgin Black are semi relevant as well.
