The reason I like Deathcore is because it brings the best of both genres of Death Metal and Metalcore together. I hate most Metalcore because of the Generic Hardcore screams and Gothenburg style of riffing but I like the breakdowns, so since I like Death Metal already, and you add Hardcore breadowns together, of course I'm going to like some of it. But a lot of Deathcore highs are generic as fuck, I can't blame the vocalists for it though.

I'm pretty sure there are more original metalcore bands out there than deathcore bands. It seems to me like you haven't been digging deep enough into the genre.

^Of the ones I've heard Lamb of God, Between The Buried And Me, and Heaven Shall Burn are about the only Metalcore I didn't dislike.

Wouldn't Lamb of God count as a Thrash band? They don't sound Metalcore to me. Very good band, btw

Yeah, it seems more reasonable to blame the mics they use.

Deathcore is incredibly boring. I had to review a promo for Catastrophic's Pathology of Murder, and it was utterly vapid.

I included Lamb of God because they're often referred to as Metalcore, I believe they're under the Post-Thrash subgenre as well, I could be wrong though.

I don't think "Groove Metal" is a proper genre, but that's what I always thought of them as.

Deathcore was cool in my ears for a little while when I was getting into metal, but now I realize it really gets boring and extremely Generic.

As in there are few bands in the genre that really stand out...for me it's The Red Chord and Glass Casket that stand out most.

Yeah BTBAM are amazing...also check out The End, Reflux, Oh Sleeper, Misery Signals, Fear Before The March Of Flames, and Architects.

So you're basing your opinion for an entire genre of music on one band?
