Liking what I am hearing from the debut of these three German DM acts...

Beyond - Fatal Power of Death

    Abyssous - ...Smouldering

Sulphur Aeon - Swallowed by the Ocean's Tide

Anyone heard the new Obliteration? What did you think of it?

I have not heard it yet, but i think both their albums were top notch Death metal (especially Nekropsalms).

I think it was great, one of the best DM releases of the year imo.

I saw a review of the Obliteration album on metalreviews.com and it looked interesting. I'd like to check it out at some point.

Liked this bit of footage of Disma playing live:

    Rather nice for a bootleg.

How bad is Cryptopsy's The Unspoken King? I'm thinking about going back and checking out a couple of the huge DM flops that i avoided like the last Mobrid Angel and TUK.

    1.61 average raing on RyM.

    22% on MA.

    What's the UMF rating? lol

Lol, i know what deathcore is bro. And a lot of it does fall under the death metal umbrella.

I've never owned or even listened to that album ... but damn, it's straight deathcore? I can't even imagine them releasing an album that would sound like The Acacia Strain or something.

It is straight deathcore no doubt, I will say it is most definitely better than The Acacia Strain, for damn sure.
