No seriously joey did leave slipknot. Since I know everyone here was deeply saddened by the departure of Joey Jordison from Slipknot recently let me brighten up your spirits with some great news. Kerim Lechner is auditioning for the replacement job! Slipknot will be back in business real soon! YAY!

Was hoping Vitek would be coming back from the dead to play with slipknot.

That's the most I've ever deliberately listened to Slipknot. Those drum parts are way less impressive than I expected. I was always under the impression these guys had a very good drummer. That was pretty intermediate stuff that any regular touring metal drummer who puts in some studying can do. Really uncreative. I assume the band will pick the guy based on personality, because there are hundreds of guys who have the chops and skill for those songs.

The music reminded me a lot of what In Flames has been doing for I guess 10 years now. That's pretty sad.

Pretty much this - Krimh covering Behemoth and Decapitated on Youtube is a sight to behold though.

Fuck everything Slipknot did after "Iowa". They're just deadweight now.

Basic drumming in songs means the drummer isn't good? Complexity isn't everything and certain songs need certain styles and difficulties to have the right sound. I doubt most touring drummer could play these songs RIGHT. It takes a certain drummer. It's like this. I can play YYZ by Rush on the drums, cool. But I find it hard as fuck because getting the right feel for that is a fuckin bitch.
    Here's some cool drumming, though:
