How come most bands that use the 5150 play death metal and low-tuned guitars??...
Isn't the 5150 able sound good on music like nevermore's or meshuggah's (they both use dual rectifier) or even iced earth which all have more tighter tone ?

Both amps are pretty good, slight different character. The 5150 has a more aggresive linear mid range to it, the boogie is a little more rounded, classic sounding.

5150 is what a lot of the swedish bands use to get that real midrange buzzsaw guitar tone.
