Hmmm, I've looked through the 22 or so pages comprising this forum, and haven't found any info on the song, "Disciples Of The Sacred Oath". Can anyone share any info on it? When was it written? (Is it an original?) When was it recorded? Was it made just for the compilation album it appears on? Any background to the song? Thanks all!
There was a thread entitled> ask the band. ( no info on this song there) But if you have read 22 pages of this forum, I am not in doubt you know that someone, either the fans or a bandmember, will answer your question.
"Desciples of the sacred oath" was written in 1995. It was recorded at the same session of "El Norra Alila". In fact, we recorded all the songs for the album, knowing we'll have to "loose" one track eventually for the "Holy Records" compilation, So, yes, it was made especially for the 'unholy bands' compilation and appears there, but it was a last minute decision WHICH song from 'El Norra Alila' will go there and not make it to the legendary album The decision was professional based on few criteria (was less connected to the album's "general" spirit, was the least perfect track in terms of drums tempo accuracy etc). I personally like this song, it's one of the "heavier" songs we've ever written in certain parts of it, yet has some of our more extraordinary oriental/middle-eastern tunes. Hope this helps.
Yossi_Orphaned_Land, That's the info I was looking for. Thanks for the answer! And yes, El Norra Alila IS a masterpiece!
