i think im gonna have to get gateways, it seems controversial if nothing else....

i used to really like domination, but it got a bit tired after a while . i found the songwriting in formulas more interesting... but the vocals were not quite as cool....

only just got blessed are the sick but i really like it so far.... new version has the viddy for blessed are the sick which is cool

    good choice.

Oh, and as for Heretic.... it's got nothing on Gateways, imo, especially the incredibly wierd production..... but its really a grower. Some really great songs and riffs. The solos aren't nearly as great as on Gateways though, in someways because of the loss of Rutan. But its all still good.

The two biggest ones would be:

    Evereve-Emania
    Evereve-Enetics

Evereve died right alongside Tom. Regret, alright, but nowhere near the quality of their previous two efforts, Stormbirds and Seasons. Everything after that, well, the less said the better.

Megadeth - Cryptic Writings (Someone got a kick in the nuts from radio-rock)

Rush - Grace Under Pressure (Well, I actually adore this album to no end like most of the bands material, I just didn't like how dominating the synths were compared to the guitar)

Blue Man Group - The Complex (WTF did you do? This isn't Blue Man Group....fuckers)

Manes - Maanens Natt (Shit production and one good track, good job guys =/ )

i actually really like The Berzerker - Dissimulate, but that's another matter.

i was soooo badly disappointed by the pure corporate watering down by Arch Enemy on 'Anthems Of Rebellion' - though i should have seen it coming really with Wages Of Sin. At least Wages Of Sin could have been seen as a lucid interval.

Skinlab was a big disappointment, after hearing a lot of praise for them, i bought reVolting Room, and it sounds like a cross between a poor mans Slipknot and a third rate Chimaira.
Black Dahlia Murder - trying too hard to sound like Darkest Hour.
Soilwork - Figure Number Five -> just plain unadulterated shit, absolutely fuck all like their finest hours pre-Natural Born Chaos.
Morbid Angel - Heretic -> bland and non-descript. Gateways To Annihilation rips it to shreds.

    That's an odd statement.

Slayer have a very extensive discography; if you were disappointed by all but two albums in this discography, how can you say you love the band (as the thread title indicates)? That's a big stretch.

What is it about the album that you don't like? I personally love it, Moore's most dissapointing album IMO is Wild Frontier.

I don´t like some of the bands at all nowadays just because they started to suck.

Carnal Forge - The More You Suffer (I thought Please...Die had very nice songs but the production was a bit weak so I was hoping TMYS would have sort of the same material but with rawer production... But the production turned out to be as lame as Please... and the songs was just boring)

Iced Earth - Horror Show (I really liked SWTWC and when I found out that Horror Show containing songs like Dr Jekyll Mr.Hyde and stuff I really was looking forward to it, but it turned out to be a big dissapointment...)

The Haunted - One Kill Wonder (I loved THMMDI but then I started to like the first album more and hoped that the third would be "back to the roots" but instead it sounded like a little bit faster version of THMMDI and lacking good riffs)

Metallica - St.Anger (In every interview people where like "It´s awsome, they have gone back to their thrash-roots" One guy wrote something like "Some of the riffs sounds like something Kerry King/Jeff Hanneman would have written to Reign In Blood" so the expectations were sat high... And what do I hear? Bank-Bank-Yeah-Yeah-bankbankbank
