Haha same. Not as good as Lateralus, though. I could've picked that up for $13NZ today. But I bought jalapeño chips and Ribena instead.

Its not a real Tool album, thats all. The album does exist, but its actually by Jethro Tull.

    ^ true

other facts of the day: if you change 4 letters in the word 'Tool' you'll get the word 'beer' - coincidence?

Settle down sweetheart, Opeth is not a rip off band. I think you're confusing 'writing songs using influences' and 'repeatedly copying music that you claim is your own'.

Agreed, I'm banning any thoughts otherwise from my brain now.

Getting back on topic: can't say anything on GR struck me as being directly influenced by something uniquely Tool.

I wish you'd use sarcasm smiley... I'm sure it would be used there, but I won't say 'Good one smart arse...:erk: ' because then it'd turn out you were being serious... But if you weren't, refer to what I would've written.

I was being dead serious in my last post. If I wasn't Id have used a sarcasm smiley. And no, Im not being sarcastic here. And no, Im not being sarcastic about not being sarcastic. Else Id use a sarcasm smiley.

You must have misread his post. Or you're retarded. Or you're blind. Or some other thing that interferes with understanding his statement.

    this is off topic:

what 2 of these tool albums should I buy? (I already have lateralus): Aenima, Undertow, 10,000 days. If you can explain why I should buy a certain two that would be good.

    thanks

The only part of lateralus I like is The Grudge.

    Edit:

I really don't like most of Tool's music either; I do however like alot of music which takes influence from Tool. Tool is just .. TOO tool for me lol. Hard to explain...

IMO there is very little tool in GR and it's mainly in the percussion in GoP...but it's not obvious at all...had to really dig deep to find this one
on the other hand If you listen to Katatonia's Great Cold Distance album you can clearly spot tool influence all over the damn thing

about 10000 days, it's cool but it's not as good as the previous ones
I mean Lateralus was like WOW!!!!
but 10000 days' coverart(with the lenses) is way cooler than lateralus.
