Hey everyone, So I'm really getting into doom metal And I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good doom metal bands?! I've listened to bands like: Type O Negative, Opeth, agalloch, amorphis, my dying bride, and woods of ypres
Well, first off, I gotta say, most people dont consider those bands doom metal (myself included) That being said, Novembers Doom and Swallow the Sun are probably right up your alley.
Thanks guys! I'll definitely check em out! I thought those were doom metal bands....... Woods of Ypres's most recent album being doom(ish?) As for the others, I was told by numerous people they were doom, o well Anyone else have any recommendations?
They're not far off... but the only one who is definitely doom would be My Dying Bride. I second Novembers Doom, Swallow the Sun and Katatonia recommending the following bands Daylight Dies Green Carnation Slumber Elegeion Void of Silence Virgin Black Orphaned Land Rapture Morgion The 11th Hour Doom:VS Monolithe Shape of Despair Colosseum Thergothon Skepticism Ahab
