Is the album on Spotify The Bridge really from Cathedral? Cause it's not on their Wikipage but if it is I love the opening track!

Agalloch are immense. The Mantle is one of my favourite albums.

Agalloch are pretty good, I don't really think they're doom though...

On the subject of Cathedral (well we were on the last page), this will blow your fucking mind:

I don't see how you can like Midnight Mountain more man, Magic Mountain IS Midnight Mountain but with an added Lead Flute. Also I think the funk section sounds better in Magic Mountain

Not a fan of the flute in that song. And Lees vocals are better in the final version. Just stronger.

Fair enough. I just think the flute is amazing, it blew my mind. Almost genius.

The flute on Forest of Equiliberium works perfectly.

Isn't sludge a subgenre of Doom? It would be more convenient if this thread included all subgenre's and forms of Doom

Sludge comes from hardcore. But the ambient and doom side of sludge is much better.

But still, I'd say doom is it's biggest influence. Everyone here should listen to Iron Monkey and bow down to the heaviness
