I just get sick of covers that have been done to death, that's all. I'm sure it's good and can't wait 'till Wednesday.
what the guy getting shot at with a shotgun at 8PM in front of my building is funny? well actually it is. That guy was shot at 3 times in 2 days in different parts of my block then punched through a window.
Here's a review of the Atlanta show: http://www.rockrevoltmagazine.com/doro-sister-sin-tour/ Attendance here was quite good. We (Brazen Angel) sold 75 tickets ourselves and the room was quite crowded, but not "standing room only." I'd say around 200 - 250 maybe for the Atlanta show. Sister Sin is the SHIT! Nice as hell too!
Wow, nice to see Sister Sin get such a long set. I get tired of name bands getting such short sets. Heck, I just saw the Testament/Overkill show last week and Overkill only got 50 minutes. I'm really looking forward to this Doro/Sister Sin show.
The show in Baltimore was fairly sparsely attended but it was great. Sister Sin put on a high-energy show with those nice retro, raw vocals and a cool set list. Not that I had any doubt, but Doro made it 100% clear that she is still the "Queen of Metal." She had a cold and was blowing her nose between songs but sounded about perfect to me. If you get a chance to see this tour, I highly recommend it.
I'll also take the Sister Sin discs anytime over the Doro stuff since she left Warlock...But Burning The Witches is better than the Sister Sin stuff.
Maybe. But Doro Pesch is a legend on her own merits. I don't really see the reason at all in doing this. When I read the setlist, I actually cringed. It looks very amatuerish on paper, esp that song. Furthermore, metal isn't about "having fun" Go to a god damn pop punk show if you wanna have fun. A metal show is about being as metal as you possibly can be, don't you know????
No....... Judas Priest covers are up there with Iron Maiden covers in terms of professionalism from a major band. Maybe if you are a full blown Maiden or Priest tribute band making good money off of it. I applaud Nina / A sound of Thunder in their Sabbath cover choice in TRASHED. Great tune, and while still a single of theirs, certainly not as heavily covered or well known as the obvious Ozzy, or even Dio staples.
Nah, not always about brutatlity....... Oh, and to please to condescending mother truckers........ I did enjoy a cold Blue Moon at 1AM while rocking out to the SKULL this past Friday night......soooooooooooooooo
Silent Force did one that went over quite well at PPIII, not to mention their version of All Guns Blazing on Infatuator.
