Can you let us know how it was when you get back? ( youre seeing them tonight yes?) Also did you happen to see if anyone in the crowd was taking photos?
I doubt that Dark Tranquillity would care and I don't think the venue will care at all (they didn't the last gig I saw at the Manning Bar) but it's better to be safe than sorry so here's a tip: If you bring a camera, don't bring it in your bag. Stuff it under a jacket or in your pocket or something. Sometimes venue security are a) stupid b) just dickheads or c) have not been correctly informed and just assume "no cameras". I plan on taking photos of the supports Alarum AND Infernal Method - double score! and of course Dark Tranquillity (which will all go on PyroMusic.net) and one of them should feature with a gig review in Drum Media the week after - so, if you don't end up with many/any photos of your own, at least you know you'll be able to see pics from the gig elsewhere.
So are you actually allowed into the venue with a bag or is there somewhere you've got to leave it? Last concert I went to the security guards had to pat people down and everything, though that was a much larger venue. Just wanna know the details so I know where to conceal stuff in advance.
Ok firstly last nights gig was fucking awesome - same set as tokyo, but would you really want them to change it too much?? The gig was at the capitol, same place opeth play a few months back, that was a sold out show with upstairs open (i think the capitol hold 1000), id say the main floor was about 75% full last night (4-500 people). I missed the first opening act Chaos Devine, but made sure i was there in time for Pathogen. Those guys are fucking awesome, for a local band they blow me away every time. New drummer kicked as and they even put in a new song for us Dark Tranquility then lifted the bar even higher, the crowd was going nutts, i swear there was between 5-10 crowd surfers every song for there entire set. Stanne even got in on the crowd surfing action Fucking good times, Highlights for me were Therein, Lost To Apathy and the endless feed. They played the whole set straight through, no encore, as Stanne said "We're not gonna treat you to that rock and roll bullshit where we go out back and you guys start chanting and clapping, we'll just play more songs!" Also managed to snag myself a drum stick Have funs guys 1.Intro~The Treason Wall 2.Lost To Apathy 3.White Noise/Black Silence 4.The Sun Fired Blanks 5.The New Build 6.The Wonders At Your Feet 7.Where Death Is Most Alive(new song!) 8.The Endless Feed 9.Hedon 10.Haven 11.Damage Done 12.Therein 13.Monochromatic Stains 14.Zodijackyl Light 15.Punish My Heaven 16.Lethe 17.My Negation 18.Final Resistance
